Oh my god. Seattle Police attacked a crowd of people at Cal Anderson yesterday after their officers assaulted a bystander. Police were supposed to help a person in crisis. Instead they arrested a black person at the park with their 6-year old child. pic.twitter.com/ixYztYFpYY
A violent unlawful arrest for being Black, followed by solitary confinement (a known torture technique) for being Trans.
On August 16th, Alice was still caged. Attorney Talitha Hazelton visited and pressed the State to agreed early release. State finally agreed, and after waiting on judge to sign they were bailed out.
August 17th Alice was finally freed!
